Today I made a body sock for Adam after he kept trying to use his sisters! He was so happy with it!
THAT SPECIAL NEEDS FAMILY is a special needs family vlog where a family of 7 share their life experiences and tips as they raise 5 kids with special needs. From Autism to Multiple Disabilities including hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, cerebral visual impairment, epilepsy, spina bifida occulta and more.
Raising special needs kids may be hard but it not impossible. We hope sharing a bit of our world can help us build relationships in which we can inspire others and/or be inspired by others that we meet along the way. So join us Casey, Crystal, Eliana, Liam, Adam, Gavin, and Abram in bringing awareness; that despite the diagnosis, special needs is nothing but a different way of living and seeing things. Not something that should be feared, ignored, or treated differently. Love always, love everyone!
Crystal - the mother of the five and usually the one behind the camera just documenting the life of a special needs family. Full of struggles and adventures for sure topped with some great fun!
Casey - the father of the crew. He has a degree in Nutritional Science.
Eliana - oldest of the bunch and only girl. Despite her struggles with anxiety and sensory processing disorder she loves art and anything and everything that has to do with art and science. She is also obsessed with learning new words.
Liam - Born with a brain tumor he has struggled his entire life with Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, Epilepsy, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cortical/Cerebral Visual Impairment (Partial Blindness), and is Nonverbal. Despite all his struggles he has perfect pitch and LOVES singing.
Adam - Also diagnosed with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder he loves going to school every day. He is strong and very smart. He may not know how to recognize the alphabet yet but is the dinosaur expert.
Gavin - who also has Sensory Processing Disorder and on the Autism Spectrum. He has such strong feelings but his hugs are just as strong as his yells. We are still working on his communication.
Abram- Born with spina bifida occulta he has shown us the great strength he has even though he also has gone through many things in his short life but he is such a joy to have always keeping us on our toes.
