I visisted BoGOtah in the Spring of 1981. I could not find busses running at that time. I asked my tour director and at the hotel and was told they ran in another section of the city. I do remember following overhead for quite a while (a mile or longer) and then it just stopped. GReat video!!! Thank you.

Nice video. I lived in Bogota in 1969 near a trolley bus line. I frequently saw the Russian vehicles. For the record it's pronounced bo-go-TAH, with the accent on the final syllable.

Wonderful footage of a system that has a lot of parallels to our hometown. Both started in 1947 (not counting the TTC flirtation in 1921) and closed around the same time. Amazing that Bogota also started off their system with brand new Can Car Brills from Thunder Bay.

You just warmed my heart with this beautiful footage and scenery. (-: You’ve given me yet another suggestion: Do you think it would be possible to cover some trolleybus systems in Latin America? I know Mexico City, Valparaíso, Chile, São Paulo, Brazil, and Argentina (Buenos Aires?) have said systems to this day. Covering a few systems in Europe would be great, too. I look forward to seeing some more exciting videos soon! (-:

I was always curious how those wires would not snap and pose an electrical hazard to people walking by! Interesting to take a step back in time and visit another country. Great music accompaniment I felt like I was watching a Tarantino production 😎
