This lecture was delivered by Dr. Bohdan Nosyk, Professor and St. Paul’s Hospital CANFAR Chair in HIV/AIDS Research at SFU's Faculty of Health Sciences. In his presentation, Dr. Nosyk provided an overview of the drug use epidemic in BC, discussed the successes and failures in our response thus far, and proposed a path forward for the future. Afterward, Dr. Nosyk sat in conversation with SFU President Joy Johnson and answered audience questions.
The event took place at the Djavad Mowafaghian World Art Centre, which is part of the SFU Vancouver campus. The lecture was held April 30th, 2024 and was part of the President's Faculty Lectures 2023/2024.
