It wasn't supposed to be a gamble. The final answer was meant to be a slam dunk guarantee for Daniel Radcliffe to answer that there was no chance the full million wouldn't go to charity. One of the many things Bojack Horseman has over many other adult-oriented animated shows is that it really understands what makes a good celebrity cameo. Unlike something like the infamous Simpsons episode where Lady Gaga just appeared to show up for basically no good reason and the entire plot was centered around her, here it makes sense that Daniel Radcliffe would be in this setting - it's Hollywood. And him being there doesn't influence the plot much at all, he basically acts as a parody of himself and nobody in the show really goes "HOLY SHIT IS THAT THE FAMOUS DANIEL RADCLIFFE?" (Something I absolutely DESPISE the modern-era Simpsons for: sucking up to celebrity culture). Feels much more genuine and even respectful in a way. Instead of parading the guest star around they just kinda surprise you with it, and instead of characters in the show being surprised that he's there, you as an audience member take a minute and think to yourself "Holy shit, is that *actually* the famous Daniel Radcliffe?".
