You need to put something like a brick inside of the first bucket , otherwise you will have a very hard time to separate the two buckets. The wight of the bokashi will push one of the buckets down and l lock in.

Thanks for this. I saw this method demonstrated recently and wondered if I could use paint pails instead of buying the "special buckets"

For less than $20 You can buy fifty pounds of Wheat Bran from your local feed and grain store & make a mountain of bokashi bran if you can find the microbial inoculants, but there's no instant-result with this approach as it takes a good month for it all to ferment and get nice and ripe.. store bought is tough in the East... I found it on line.

The end of the video..."And basically you're done..." I realize that this is an old post but no follow up, and you're not done! KZitem providers need to be more responsible than this...

You have to remember to remove the garbage juice every couple of days though, or it will go anaerobic on you. Put a spigot on that bottom bucket.

I don't think there is one. I would just let it 'brew' for at least 3-4 weeks.

Good but haven´t tell that the liquid from the bottom has to be removed every one or two days, otherwise the whole work is ruined.

Bokashi is an anaerobic process so there should be something covering the food waste to stop the air getting to it. It doesn't need to be plastic wrap; an old plate, or piece of cardboard works just as well.
