You young guys make me proud of fishermen like you for a lot of reasons but for the most part it is because you treat not only the fish but the sport of it with respect you don't keep all the fish you catch and that makes me happy because I know my grandson and granddaughter will be able to enjoy the sport if they want are any of the other young kids around today I just hope they grow up to show it the same respect you guys do

I lived there for awhile on bolivar and the best chance for water to be that calm is in the morning during summer months. The land breeze starts to pickup around noon and it’s gets choppier into the night. But if there is a front or stormy weather offshore then you can forget it.

Noice. 3-mile gas platform in the background. Fun stuff. I've never fished off Bolivar. Can you wade out there off Crystal, etc.? If you're gonna hold it with the fish grips though, hold the belly as well. You'll be sending them back into the water with jaw problems and internal damage. The live in a gravity free environment, they aren't meant to be on sure. Let them go with minimal damage to make more redfish babies so we can continue to catch a bunch. That was a nice drum. I like that surf setup you got.
