It's always been like that on Moto Guzzi, any way from the late 1970 . I been a mecanik, and I agree.

Good 👍 vid mate , unfortunately I cannot seem to locate the titanium bolts in Australia. With go with stainless. Have you through about some sort of plugs , end caps etc to also protect against water and corrosion. Regards Paul

Dude it's an ADV bike, it's ok if it's dirty haha. You're right about bolt's though.

Moto Guzzi couldn't afford any grease when assembling these bikes, that's for sure. I always blow-out the water from those rocker cover bolts when cleaning the bike, because as you say those drain holes are in a stupid location. I should probably remove my rear rack and check what condition it is inside after a couple of UK winters... :-/

If its all rusted without any winter driving and only few showers - i guess it will look not the nicest. I have sprayed the inside with dinitrol and called it a day ;)

Thanks for the vídeo! Can You share details for the bolts on the red tubes on the back? Also, which is The accessory you mounted on the topbox?

Thanks for the video, how did you deal with the longer brake bolts holding the additional mudguard. Mine are completely rusted, but as it's a 10.9 quality I am not keen on putting stainless steel for the breaks. What did you put?

I checked my bolts , on the rack could only remove 3 , once was either put in two tight or they cross threaded the bolt ? The rack bolts look dull because they a high tensile Zinc bolts , so was going to replace with stainless but not as high spec , so took out 3 only sprayed with WD40 and put back in with plastic caps over holes . Screen bolts were stainless and looked in good shape . I couldn’t get the bolts you replaced in your bike in Australia.

Hi Kristis, I see that you have a comfort version seat. Did you have the standard before? I'm thinking to change to comfort one but I don't find many info on how better is it compared to standard. How do you feel about it? Thanks! Kind regards!

Ah, the cover gets banged in maximum 2 months with or without mud guard. Theres not a lot you can do there. Its just poor quality :)

Thanks for the info, have you consider to use anti seize paste at the bolt threads? It prevents water penetration.
@Kristisltu

I add thread lock to all of the bolts i touch. On the Guzzi its especially important as some of the engine bolts have tendency to fall out :)

NEVER use Titanium bolts without Anti seize paste. Gulling is an issue and drilling titanium is a real pain in the tookus. @@Kristisltu

@@tedmarakas2626 yes, always use loctite or similar thread lockers or anti-seize directly ;)

Nice , where did you buy the bolts ? All from guzzi bits ? And do you know the Size’s Greetings from Holland

Mostly from pro-bolts in UK. Head cover bolts - from guzzibits. But they have very limited supply

I replaced every single bolt with titanium on mine. In fact, all my bikes have titanium bolts. Yes very expensive BUT I don't mind, I can afford it. Speaking of horrible and cheap bolts....lok at BMW and KTM. Absolutely terrible. Believe me, Moto Guzzi is far better in quality.

I didnt see bad quality bolts on GSA, but KTM - yes, that was horrible 😁
