Bomber Drone gameplay on Quest 3 - just getting into this mixed reality game and showing level 3 here. The game has the player operating a drone to destroy all hostile weapons in order to rescue a man stranded on a tower and bring him to safety, and finally safely landing the drone.
I’ve got maybe an hour into it at this point. It’s a fun game so far and worth the price. I’ve tried this in two different rooms and found that the experience depends a lot on the room and the room spatial setup. I’ve been having trouble with the Quest 3 spatial setup crashing while I’m setting up room objects (furniture and windows), so this could be a little better in terms of object interaction if the objects were more accurately mapped.
One nice thing is that playing in a different space makes for somewhat new gameplay because the player needs to pilot the drone through the environment, avoiding the real-world objects that are mapped during spatial setup. There are 5 levels with increasing difficulty as more hostile weapons are spawned in each subsequent level.
Drone operation feels pretty close to a real drone in terms of control and mechanics. The Quest controller joysticks are less than ideal since it’s hard to only run one axis on a stick with zero input on the other. A button hold action to lock control to only one axis could be nice, or a larger dead zone on all axes might help.
Overall a fun game that has a lot of potential to expand, so o hope the devs keep working on this to add more drone and hostile weapon types, more levels, limited ammo, ammo drops, new objectives, etc.
