I had started this dive going down to 100 foot depth and seeing a large eel below, so ended up at 130 foot depth for a few minutes at the start of the dive. Then I started going up, but there was another group of divers above me, and I don't like to get close to other divers, so I stayed deeper for a while. Finally I was up around 30 foot depth when I saw this turtle, and the turtle decided to dive back down to 80 foot depth and I followed it. In the end, I only spent a few moments with it at depth to avoid taking unnecessary risks of DCS -- it was still fun watching it swim to the surface, hanging out there for a while, then diving back down with it. They are amazing, and this was probably the biggest one I have seen on the west side of Bonaire.
