It's hard to see them hurt even after all this time even if you've seen the shows over and over and I have. But my family and I loved them and I still do. This is where Micheal Landon got the idea for the Little house story that has Carolyn at home alone and her leg hurt and she has to make the same decisions that Little Joe had to make in this show. Michael Landon had 3 Shows on NBC at the same time. Little House on the Prairie. and Father Murphy and High way to Heaven. He has been the only one do this.

This episode was later "recycled" for Little House. Carolyn was baking pies for a church event and was supposed to catch a ride with the Reverend Alden to the event. He came to the house to get her but she was passed out She had cut her leg on an exposed nail and it became infected, the book she read for instruction was the bible . She lanced the wound, Doc Baker said just in time.

Everyone is giving their opinions. So here's mine I Love Bonanza always will, I Love Little Joe he's my favorite Cartwright , His Ears are perfectly fine , His Butt is also perfectly fine, I loved his Beautiful eyes & smile, And I Absolutely love his gorgeous Long curly locks whatever color it is. He looked fine with His short hair but he looks even better with His long hair. I really like this episode it shows Little Joe's amazing courage even through all of the pain of being injured so badly but to keep going & fighting. Poor Joe 😢I agree with a few others it seemed like Joe was always hurt , kidnapped or accused of something more than anyone else but like someone else said that was one of the many reasons why Bonanza stayed so entertaining through all 14 season's. I always loved all ( THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF LITTLE JOE CARTWRIGHT ) Thanks for sharing. From #1 Little Joe fan ALWAYS

Agree with nearly everything you say. I only watch it for him - I wouldn't watch it if he wasn't in it. I hate the episodes that he's not in, or only has a small part. Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, beautiful hair, beautiful face, and the most stunning eyes I've ever seen. I think short hair suits him best, though, 'cos the longer hair makes him look older. The only blemish on his handsomeness is his teeth, and I'm quite surprised he never got them done. Despite his gorgeousness, if he'd been a horrible person I wouldn't have liked him. But he was as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside. Warm, sunny, gentle and kind with a heart as big as a mountain. His only faults were his quick temper, his liking for the ladies and a tendency to be a bit judgemental. He was one of my favourite characters on TV.

What has he got to do with this episode, he had been gone for years by then! He left on his own accord! I don’t think he was that great and after he left he not known for much except for Trapper Jonn and that came years later!

Landon was a long hair, he grew up in that era. The longer his hair is the better he looks.
