Even so, he shouldn't be lying there. In a longer version he should as well be sucked out of the plane. Being unconscious or even dead, he can't hold on to something. Perhaps they cut it out because of that. Basically they wanted to show only Goldfinger dying this way.

I see what happened. The CIA was escorting Auric and a random henchmen to Washington with Bond, accomodating for only one of them so they can throw out whichever one takes the longest to talk mid-flight. But Auric had apparently planned for this, and easily escapes and neutralizes their captors. He then leaves to neutralize Bond before crashing the plane and escaping, while the other prisoner patiently waits to die in the crash in order to account for the one prisoner believed to be on board.
@AzelfandQuilava
6 жыл бұрын
But Goldfinger had escaped in the chopper at Fort Knox. What mostly happened was that he caught wind of Bond's meeting with the President and wanted revenge before escaping with a more suitable vehicle. Although that said, your idea for him abandoning the plane mid-flight might be true given Goldfinger's backstabbing nature.

@WaterCrane
4 жыл бұрын
In truth, he wouldn't have been sucked out like that, since he wasn't anywhere near the window when it shattered (someone right next to the hole might get sucked out, e.g. Aloha Airlines Flight 243) and the decompression would be near-instant. Loose articles like paper may get blown around, but the most notable effect would be that the interior would be filled with a dense fog as moisture subtended in the air would condense. The main thing is that unless they can grab an oxygen mask each, Bond, Pussy Galore and Goldfinger would fall unconscious in 15 seconds. The plane should still be flyable though as long as Pussy puts a mask on, and the first thing that you have to do is descend to a breathable atmosphere (usually 8,000 feet in an emergency situation).
