Easy step by step procedure and tutorial in making Bonete or Pambonete bread. It's a delicious bread roll or mushroom bread look alike that is usually seen in local pinoy bakeries. Turn it into a business or try it at home for your family to enjoy!
Bonete Bread
Roux or Bread Improver:
• 1/2 cup (125g) fresh milk or evap milk
• 1/2 cup (60g) bread flour or APF taken from the 500g for the dough
Dough Ingredients :
• 1/2 cup (125g) of milk or evaporated milk
• 2 tsp (6g) of instant active yeast
• 1/2 cup (110g) light brown sugar
• 1 large egg, room temperature
• 1/2 cup (110g) vegetable oil or canola oil
• 500g (3 3/4 cups to 4 cups) Bread flour or all purpose flour
• 1 tsp (5g) iodized salt
• 1 tbsp vanilla flavoring or 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp yellow food color (optional)
Egg wash:
1 egg
1 tbsp fresh milk or evap milk
*Preheat oven at 180⁰C for 15 minutes. Then bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
*Turn the pan around halfway through the baking if using conventional oven.
*Brush with softened or melted butter or margarine

Total cost of ingredients - P58
Overhead Cost (water, elec, gas, fare etc is 40% of the cost of ingredients) - P23.20 (adjustable)
Total Costing - P81.20
Per piece costing for 40g - P3.38 x 1.70 (tubo) = P5.70
You can sell it for P5.00 to P6.00 each
