The Retribution of Bonnie And Clyde (Full film) 1934
A short film combining dramatic reenactments using the actual May 23, 1934 Ted Hinton 16mm movie camera death scene film footage chronicling the rise and fall of Bonnie and Clyde.
Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, both Texans, met in 1930, fell in love, and went on a three-year crime spree involving many bank robberies and murders.
Photographs of the good-looking couple found at their hideouts were published by newspapers, which glamorized their life of crime.
On May 23, 1934, they were ambushed and killed by a posse of four Texas officers and two Louisiana officers.
Like much of the media coverage surrounding the infamous outlaw couple at the time, this film takes liberties with facts about their crimes. Among other inaccuracies, the narrator falsely identifies Parker as the shooter of highway patrolman H. D. Murphy.
The film also includes scenes of the aftermath of the shootout with police as well as the couple's funerals in Dallas.
Starring:
Bonnie and Clyde in their first major film role as themeselves.
Four law of the officers who took part in the shooting of Bonnie and Clyde:
Deputy Sheriff Prentiss Morel Oakley
Sheriff Henderson Jordan
Dep.Sheriff Bob Alcorn
Dep. Sheriff Ted Hinton.
