Good work! I had been waiting for a welcome to spring video from Bonsai Talk. This was a good one. I'll be repotting a burning bush bonsai now.

Greetings, i am really enjoying your videos. I bought my first bonsai yesterday. Today I find the seeds in my lunch apple have started sprouting. A paper cup, a bit of dirt, a good watering and we shall see.

I have a fukien tea and just got it last week. I live in southern nevada, my patio faces south. I have my tree positioned to get about an hour of direct MORNING sunlight and the rest of the day it's just whatever light gets reflected. Is this enough direct sunlight? I'm just worried to do more hours of direct sun with such intense sunlight almost every day. There are some new leaves growing but also a lot of budding. A few leaves (3 or4) turned yellow and brittle. I am new to the hobby and enjoying it so far... just a little worried

Welcome Robert to the channel, it's awsome to have you onboard! First of all, some few discolored leafs here and there on a bonsai tree is not dangerous, a repeating pattern is.. second of all, Fukien Tea (Carmona Microphylla) is a tropical species with very waxy leafs, that means the tree will not loose much water/humidity from the evaporation from the leafs surface.. If the bonsai is well watered in a drainy substrate, there should never be any problems at all with that.. Grow stronger with Bonsai Talk!
