This is the second video from our recent trip to the southern part of South Africa on a road trip to seven national parks. Bontebok National Park is next to Swellendam, the entrance to the park is in the outskirts of the little town which is about 580 kilometers directly east from Cape Town. It is not very large, one can cover all the roads in one day but there are several unguided walking trails and bike routs which brings you much closer to nature. In the big five reserves you can do the same but you have to be escorted by a guide with a rifle. In Bontebok there are no dangerous animals and one can walk relatively save on any of the trails. Most are easy walks but one have to be used to walking, have good boots and carry water, it does get hot should you walk in the middle of the day, better to do it early or late in the day. The campsite overs a lot if you are prepared to be patient, we had lots of visitors large and small at our caravan and we did spend a lot of time doing nothing but chilling, waiting for the locals to come to us.
