This was one of the very first boogies I ever learned, and being able to play this tune gave me the confidence to go out looking for gigs.
I still love this tune after all the years of playing it. It's full of melody and rich choruses. From there you can extract material for improvisation and create a strong overarching storyline.
I've never really thought of the blues and boogie-woogie as two different things. I think that is part of the reason why I've always connected with this tune , and why I choose to take it at such a slower tempo than most.
