THANK YOU!!! I've watched a blue billion tutorials and yours is the only one I REALLY understand. You are an excellent teacher and for that, you've gained a new follower. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this video tutorial. 😁

You are so welcome! I made this because it was so hard to find a good tutorial! I meant to do more and got into crocheting 😂 but I will do a few more tutorials soon now that I have a better setup! Enjoy making book art!

Where did you get the sister pattern? I haven’t tried it yet but it looks interesting to do, is it too advanced for my first try at book folding?
@createanew2
2 жыл бұрын
I found someone that makes patterns on one of the book folding Facebook pages. This is quite advanced for your first book. I started out just folding by purchasing books that already had the lines in it to fold. I bought them at Hastings years ago but I’m sure there might be some you can purchase on Amazon. Or look for MMF (measure, mark, fold) patterns

How do you create the pattern ??? for any letter or word ??
@createanew2

I found the pattern. You can buy patterns from ETSY or find a facebook group for bookfolding and sometimes you can get free patterns that way.

Holy crap this is actually a really good tutorial, but what is that thing you put on the ruler? Photo foam? I've always needed something like that to make my marks straight for origami and stuff like that. Thank you if you respond

Crangado sorry for the long response time- the email that I had a comment was in my junk folder. Any way, that is exactly what I used and since it is double sided I put washi tape over the foam.

You can purchase patterns from Etsy for a minimal price, sometimes you can find some just by googling it, there are also Facebook groups. I don’t sell patterns as I’m not a pattern maker.

Hey creative chickie, I want 7 letters Name in the book , how to do that? As the letters are different and definitely the measurement will ! Can you help me out!
@createanew2

I would suggest to find a pattern maker and let them know what you want. There are many on Etsy. Or you can purchase a pattern maker for your computer and make any pattern you want. I unfortunately do not do that or I would do so for you.

Most of the ones I have I got from Facebook groups and they many times have free patterns. There are other groups where you can be a tester and get some patterns that way.

Creative Chickie I’m a newbie and a little confused , my pattern shows folds at 3 ,4.1, 4 .5, 4.9, 5.3, 6.8, 7.2, 7.7! It’s my understanding that I make top fold at 3 and bottom fold at 7.7 and all the numbers in between are cut.... am I correct as in make a cut at 4.1 and 4.5 then fold, another at 4.9 and 4.3 and fold! Do I leave the tab stick out between 4.5 and 4.9......??
@createanew2
4 жыл бұрын
Ralph Dove yes you do fold the first and last and cut all others in between. So you would fold the tab between 4.1 and 4.5 and leave the next tab out, and every other tab will be folded
