Hey friends, if you disagree with me, that’s cool!!! You can even express that below. That’s awesome because I love talking about books. I take that as an invite to a conversation and might even reply to share more about why I agree or disagree. ❤ If, however, you come all salty because I said mean things about A BOOK, and you say I’m wrong, stupid, ugly, etc etc, I’m gonna match energies. You don’t get to cry later about how I’m being mean in the comments if you started it. Yes, these are my opinions. That’s how a REVIEW works… Yes, I like plenty of other books, just not these ones because these ones are bad. I’ve been on KZitem for like 6 years. If you want to know what I like, there is a whole account behind this video. ❤❤❤❤❤

@@Gruso57 Why not though?? If the writing and the way the tone is set bothers readers in the first few chapters, it’s going to bother them in the subsequent chapters. The Midnight Library was repetitive, patronizing, and poorly executed because the “happy ending” felt like the objectively wrong choice by fault of the narrative itself. He set up a scenario so ideal that he struggled to make his main character convincingly dissatisfied with it and tossed her back to existentialism just to end everything abruptly with ham-fisted morality. I love sad and adventure stories, and the fantasy and drama genres. I would love to see recommendations of books free of toxic loves represented as healthy. What I mean is that if the toxic character is shown as toxic it is great but if it is represented by the writer like someone good but has problems and the girl/boy has to accept being hurt, manipulated because she/he loves him and blah blah blah 🤮🤮🤮 Year 2023 around here, it's time to stop brainwashing ourselves and romanticizing toxic manipulators, narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths

The Darkling was the only character I actually liked in the Grisha trilogy. Kinda liked the Grisha I guess. Could have been great if another author would have written this world... Someone to acknowledge this is a universe with long standing systematic persecution, torture and murder of a subset of people =Grisha. Instead of making it a rather half assed plot point that is never properly addressed even in universe and doesn't feel thought through. Was it supposed to be edgy and dark? Wanted to strangle our orphan couple.... The Darkling turned too cartoonish evil & over the top in the second book and it felt absurd at points. The "heroines" journey is depressing. Dorothy goes back to grey Kansas after the magic spell wears off and marries the local gas station guy... More or less The books felt meandering and as if the author was course correcting/readjusting the characters from book to book to where it felt forced not like actual development. I was so frustrated it made me not want to read books for a while
