Regan, a video topic you might consider is one dedicated to good audiobook "reads." You include comments about this often in different vids (like Daisy Jones and the Six, etc.), so having a collection in one place might be great. Also a recommendation based on one I'm listening to now: Once Upon a River. I started this based on your book recommendation from awhile back, and I think the audio version is perfect - lovely British lady narrator voice, and to me it's just the perfect story to have read/told to you (as if you're one of the drinkers at the Swan Pub).

I recently decided to change up how I'm doing my tbr's. I was struggling to read and stay on track. So I chose 12 books, some newer books and some older books in my collection, wrapped them in Christmas paper wrote numbers on the sides and then wrote the same numbers on scrap paper and put them in a jar. I shake the jar, choose the number and then that's the book I have to read. Also I can only read 1 book at a time so I do not lose focus and set the book aside.

What a great list! LOVED Golem and the Jinni, if you like deep and emotional characters I think you're going to enjoy it too. Despite being a fantasy, it's also a remarkably compelling New York immigrant novel. Highly recommend the audio book!

As an immigrant Syrian myself, I can confirm that the Golem and the Jinni is the most beautiful and historically accurate book I’ve ever read (well minus the magic of course 😁) but the description of our food, values and communities just made me so nostalgic I ate that book up! 🥲

Whenever you talk about the magic system in Robert Jackson Bennett's books, I just desperately want you to read the Eragon books 😅 I know you hated Paolini's other book and that the Inheritance Cycle might not be the height of fantasy writing anymore (though I think they actually hold up really well, I'm currently rereading book 3), but I just know you'd love the magic system in it. 😌 Also, thanks for reminding me that I desperately need to pick up Robin Hobb this winter. I just feel like her books are perfect for the long, dark nights ahead of us. 🤓

But ultimately, I just want to continue to knock out my overall TBR!
