Your one of the few who show off NY and the east coast. Thanks for that. I'm a transplant to NY and I think it's one of the most beautiful places to live, if you like Trees and green. I"m lucky to be on the Delaware river and live in the Hudson valley, Two rivers, tons of history, hiking, glacier lakes, farm land, apples maple syrup. I walk out my front door and I see the Pocono and Catskill mountains. Oh and only 3hrs to the Jersey Shore.

so are these forest service roads? We tow a trailer and we have to be careful because we don't know if we can turn around. you're so confident about all your dirt roads, how do you know you could camp or turn around? you probably addressed these questions before but I missed. We just want to go on a longer adventure when my husband retires...but, we also like glamping and full hookups. however, the privacy of these locations you find is enticing.

Re: hogging spots: I used to live in and around Las Vegas, NM and further out. I would occasionally go fishing at Storrie Lake State Park. There were several RVer's who parked their RV's in the best picnic shelter spots all summer long (no hookups, and no water). They obviously purchased the resident's pass then hogged the best spots even though they were rarely there (lived nearby). I first didn't understand because I was new to the area, and the "explanation" of why they were parked there was a bunch of word salad. Really selfish. Obviously they didn't think it was, with their "first come, first serve" attitude.

👍🏻 I mounted my starlink base on the roof, attached to my solar rack, near my roof hatch. I take the ‘scanner’ (?) bit off when I travel, and just pop it back up when I park for a while. So far the base is fine, and mere inches taller than panel it’s attached to, so as I am cautious about panel it’s all okay up top. Didn’t realize it needed a north facing aspect 🤷🏼♀️😖😄, just looked at it and sure enough it’s pointing due north 🤣👍🏻

Dog brush is good for the surface, but webs of feet, around ears with a flashlight .Don’t forget to check around the lids of her eyes for attached feeding nymphs. A full body inspection with your eyes and hands is a must every night and morning. Look and feel for a slight bump. The nymphs with be almost impossible to find with a black dog. When there is one there are many. From a New Yorker who knows.

The Adirondacks are so beautiful! As a kid, we camped every weekend in the Adirondacks but in a state park. As a young adult, I hiked and camped on the Adirondack trail on several occasions for up to 10 days at a time. Loved, loved, loved it. Now, in my 70s with bum knees, hiking and camping on a trail is no longer possible... as are many other activities. I have been able to compensate, but hiking and camping on a trail is not one of them. I am able to walk on nature trails in and around my hometown, Montréal, Québec 🇨🇦 when my knees can handle it.
