Thanks for your thoughts on the expansion, John. I have been hesitating on tracking down a copy, but your comments on the cost continue to hold me off getting it.

I have really been enjoying all of your videos. Your likes/dislikes align with mine pretty well, so the honest opinions you provide are extremely helpful. I haven't pulled Boonlake off the shelf in a while and it looks like this expansion wouldn't change my mind, so thank you for saving me some $'s. I've really been enjoying Nucleum lately (both solo and mult-player) and am looking forward to diving into Voidfall next week. Keep on keeping on John!

Thank you very much for the kind comments. Nucleum looks like it is getting an expansion next year which is great. Not that I am board with it by any means, but I love the game so much I will gladly scoop up any expansions that are coming out. Let me know if you have any questions about Voidfall. The tutorial is very confusing if you play it from a solo perspective because it does not use a good chunk of the gameplay that is found in the solo game. I had a time and a half with it, but once I played my first actual solo game, it all fell into place. Thanks again!

Just received my copy today. Absolutely love playing the base game. Will say when I saw the expansion contents I felt exactly as you did. I'm positive will enjoy it just a matter of when😁. Thanks for your opinion and overview.

It’s enjoyable and does have some pretty powerful actions on the south and west side of the lake. Plus, as I said in the review, I do like the upgrading of the end of round scoring tiles.

I still have to play Boonlake, and I'm pretty sure I'll love it. But the price of that expansion is crazy, as much as I'd love to probably have it. 30 bucks for an expansion, while the base game is 50, is completely atrocious. What are these publishers thinking? Same thing can be said about the Cascadia Landmarks expansion, which is also 30 bucks right now. When they start doing things like this, it really turns me off and makes me feel like selling the base game, in all honesty. It's my form of protest and boycott.
