I want to applaud these border patrol agents for putting their lives at risk doing this type of job. There will be times when these agents encounter childrens with there parents by there side trying to cross the border. And there will be times when they encounter gun battles with bad actors, typically cartel members or "coyotes" trying to smuggle narcotics. So much unpredictability with this line of work. So you're saying cut all possible welfare that might be attractive to foreigners? Millions of Americans depend on food stamps and section 8 housing to get by. Do you think those Americans should just be told to suffer/die instead? At least be clear on your views instead of dancing around the issue.

I have been lost in a forest once and it’s not hard to do. Luckily after walking for hour’s I found a road that I recognized and made it home. Had I walked just a mile west I would have been screwed! It happened in Oregon in 1985.

Yea, I was also lost once in the desert outside Vagas for 2 days. Just like on the ocean., it all looks the same in every direction. This was long before phone/GPS. Good thing some guys were out on dirt bikes. At 9:00 a.m. it's already 120 degrees. Tring to suck water from a cactus isn't easy. A long sobering walk I'll never forget.

No they aren't, theres a huge mass of land that is why border patrol agents have heavy surveillance to aid and have the advantage of any potential threat. Im sure they could use more agents but they are doing a hell of a job securing the border. any criminal they see is a target is going to be gunned down, i dont think you understand the power of surveillance and the training these guys have.
