If you walked in Borehamwood between 1968 to 1973 you would be able to see On the Buses filmed. Definitely a great sitcom. Never get tired watching On the Buses.

Definitely nothing wrong with foreigners coming here to live. Just as long they are willing to work and pay their way. Which they do. Very good hard workers! Doing jobs that people here wouldn't take.

Thankyou for uploading this video! This is my hometown and since moving to Kent I've been ever so homesick! This has made me rather happy but sad as I'd do anything to be back there.

Some real nostalgia for me, as I worked in offices along Elstree Way '77-83. Went back quite a few times in intervening years, as I liked the Tesco built on the old studios. There was a great electronics junk shop up the far end. I bought an old keyboard from god-knows-what ancient teletype machine, and used it for my first microcomputer, the MK14. Nice to see my first bank is still there, Barclays, where I cashed my first cheque. Used to be a nice bookshop, but think it's gone now.

How could you go to Boreham wood, wander up and down the street and point out all the film stars that have worked there and NOT show us the studios? Weird...

The town is known as Boreham Wood if you don't mind, it's the fault of the sign writer at the train station who could not fit the whole name on the space they gave him, fact

You may well be right. I only learned about the two-word spelling last night after their FA Cup heroics! Still, you could make the case that place names are always evolving over time due to misspellings that stuck, for instance.

It's a dump, that's the truth. Interesting history with the studios, but it's a very violent and unpleasant town. That's the truth, sorry.
