The Earth is covered by 75% Wata... My absolute favourite band in the world. I saw them a few months ago in Australia with Atsuo as Boris frontman. Best gig I've ever seen. I filmed the entire set, tweaked the video and uploaded it to my channel if you want to check it out 🙂

Shame they're not touring the USA this year. They don't really seem to like being filmed, Atsuo seemed displeased with me after this video.

@@xXEvangelXx I wouldn't be to sure about that. From my experience Atsuo seemed very happy that I was filming their set. He gave me a fair bit of attention in the way of pointing directly to my camera, giving monolithic poses quite a number of times. I thought maybe I was just tripping out or something but then I saw a video someone shot at a music festival in Spain, i think. It was exactly the same. Atsuo kept coming up to the person filming and was singing like 10 inches away from him. It the best footage I've ever seen of him. Then I knew I wasn't tripping, he does genuinely appreciate people making the effort to spread the Boris message. Now, back to your situation. I might have an explaination. The Boris gig I went to was the best gig I've ever been to, so I figured they must ALWAYS been in top form. So, I went looking to see if anyone else had filmed them in a different city on that tour. I managed to find their gig from the night before in a different city. The performances were like night and day. My gig was off the charts, the gig the night before they seemed to be not enjoying it at all. I almost couldn't believe it was the same band. I found out later they had a string of problems that day and it reflected in the bands performance. I think they hold very high standards for themselves and you can tell if they're happy... and if they're not happy. Maybe they just wern't happy within themselves that night? Also, I think Atsuo enjoys the freedom of being the front man much more than he does when he's not and that also reflects in he's overall vibe and performance. Ok, we've discussed Atsuo now. Who next? haha What I'm trying to say is I don't think you need to feel the way you do about filming them. Everything I've ever seen (which is almost everything haha) says they genuinely do appreciate it, good gig or otherwise 🙂

@@xXEvangelXx I found that other gig I was talking about with Atuso coming down and singing right next to the guy who was filming him. Even Takeshi came right up next to him and standed shredding guitar solos like a mad MF (solo in Fundamental Error). Hopefully this will convince you. @@melbournemudmetal Come to think of it, you're probably right. It's just my state of mind. I only say this because when Atsuo came up to me and was grabbing/shaking everyone's hand right at the front he looked away when he got to me which to me felt like he was upset, but I think it was just an off gig for them. The short clips I took of them the year before was one of the best gigs I had ever seen and while they're always great they seemed to be phoning it in here

@xXEvangelXx I do understand why you might have felt like that. I actually have noticed on a few Boris videos that I've seen from the past few years. A couple of times, i thought to myself that Atsuo looked like he was pissed off. So I do get where you're coming from. He used to seem like he had more e energy at live shows. He really seems to enjoy being out front more than on drums, which us quite ironic because when he first joined the band he was the vocalist and they ha a different drummer. After that drummer left Atsuo started playing drums in the band. I think they're a better live band with him up front. It seems to bring g the band closer to the Audience.

no offense, and thank you for the awesome video, I just had to say that I would've dug it more if you panned over to Wata during like 4:56 'till 6:40, cuz that part of this performance is where she is "playing" the Space Echo like it's an instrument! Wata does really cool sh** and maintains this understated stance which I find so endearing...this looks like it was a really great gig. I've never seen them live, but they are coming back to the Fillmore in SF in September. Did you know that?
