Thank you. Sorry for my written english ... but I wanted to thank you indeed , because your explanation is wondeful. It is the first time that I understand perfectly the difference in between: borrow and lend . I was very happy for myself ... because, in the part in which you show the exercises, answering them, I have not made any mistakes. Compliments Andrew for your lessons ! Very clear.

Hi Andrew! Thank you for the one more very interesting lesson. Can I ask a question? Can we say... Mark is borrowing FROM Sara money? Thanks in advance
@CrownAcademyEnglish
7 жыл бұрын
Hello Nina and thanks for the comment and question. :) No, the object (money) must come immediately after "borrow": Mark is borrowing (some) money from Sara. However, with *lend* we have 2 choices: Mark is lending (some) money to Sara. (correct) OR Mark is lending Sara (some) money. (correct) Best wishes, Andrew

Hi Andrew Can you please tell us, why did you say 'I'm going to be doing" and 'I'm going to be explaining" at the beginning of this lesson? I have never heard of: BE+going+To infinitive+ an ING verb. Or is it the same as using a simple infinitive? Thank you in advance.

BIOty With Style Blog Hello and thanks for your excellent question. Yes the structure is very similar to the future continuous ("I will be explaining") "I am going to be explaining" and "I am going to explain" are very close in meaning but "I am going to be explaining" is a *continuous* structure. Therefore when I say it, I am emphasising that I am going to explain something for a long duration. But "I am going to explain" is also correct. Best wishes Andrew
