@@dmritchie3 correct, however it’s been worked on quite a lot over the years and has been streamlined to be lighter, more effective and much cheaper.

Planned obsolescence. Why would manufacturers want to put something on a car that would dramatically increase it's life expectancy?

Actually no, they aren't the same thing. Lexus has been using active suspension since the LS first came out, its always been an option, even on the lesser ES300.

On this video, it is not Lexus system! It is Bose's system. And that Bose system is similar to ABC Mercedes.

2:33 That's the old Mercedes S class and propably it has semi-active airmatic and not active body control. The current S class with ABC doesn't bounce like that.

Because Bose hasn't come very far they basically introduced the Idea but were confronted by the eddy current producing a 20 millisecond delay and the Delphi Automotive Cororation was first to solve the issue by adding a second damper coiled in the opposite direction and now it is an optional if not standard on all General Motors cars such as the cadillac (first used on the 2002 Caddillac Seville STS) or the Corvette.

Does anyone know if this is ever going to make it to market? I've been watching this since around 2002, and I have yet to see a demo that is much different now than then. But I still can't find any production models of cars with this. Apparently this has been in the works for 33 years. What gives?

Well, 42 years now. They say it’s too expensive and heavy for it to be practical. I’ve heard from other comments that there *may* be a prototype around. Not sure tho.
