the crappiest thing about the Bose S1 pro and the Bose S1 pro plus, is that none are accepting phantom power in 2024 !!! that#s crap because the best acoustic guitars systems combine an internal condenser mic with a piezo, with these speakers you will be able to use only the piezo side of your acoustic guitar because of that and iI believe it sucks. #bose @bose

Well good for them for making the "+" a pound lighter and adding the 1/4" input on aux-in" channel(those are 2 improvements), but (for me) every other change made the S1 worse. Music equipment that needs to be hooked up to a phone or computer is annoying. I don't want to have to carry a computer or a smartphone with me when I go pretty much ANYWHERE, and especially don't want to have to use those things when I'm in the zone, playing music. Digital/LED lights+screens are a really awful new trend that backfires big-time when you take something outside on a sunny day and realize how difficult it can be to see the details outside. -and these battery powered speakers are meant to be used outside, right?.. so I hope they keep making the original S1.

Hi! Which of the 8-inch or 6.5-inch battery-powered speakers can sound a city square near or at a great distance, like, for example, the Everse 8 in this street version? When a backing vocalist with a speaker is both nearby and from afar, his music is clearly audible. kzitem.info/news/bejne/2qWvyJiqgKSDoGk What else is similar to Everse 8? There is no need for a compact Jbl EON One. I have been using it for 3 years and have already sold it because it is twice as quiet as Everse 8. The speaker must be loud, compact and light so that the musician can transport it on a special cart (this can also be seen in the video). Will the 6.5-inch Bose S1 Pro Plus speaker be enough on such a city street kzitem.info/news/bejne/1oCbv36EomKTlW0 Where is another musician playing guitar and singing in Everse 8?

You do know that you’re contradicting yourself in your own video lol maybe you should stick to the script instead of rambling on making yourself sound less knowledgeable. Let me explain in detail: first you state that the power switch is more complex and that’s the third option is speed charging the battery only and then you go on to say you have no idea why Bose implemented this feature. You just told us why! To speed charge the battery! Instead of using the extra power from the built-in supply to power of the music it can now go to charging the battery faster. How do you expect that to happen when the unit is on blasting music everywhere? Yes the battery will still get a charge but not as much because it’s leaking it will never fully charge. Also the power supply is rated to only put out so much power you’re not going to magically get extra power from out of nowhere. So the awesome adaptation of one extra position on the power switch to speed charge the battery just before a gig is brilliant and not complex at all you’re making crap up lol
@23eightfive

Hey, I appreciate your response BUT the point I was making and I think you missed is the old model has this and the new model doesn’t require this. Also, 99% of other devices don’t need this. Example: any computer/phone/vape all understand when the device isn’t in use and then will charge the battery faster. So for the life of me I can’t understand why Bose decided to complicate something that’s been well established for decades. Nonetheless they removed this ridiculous ‘feature’ on the new model. Which was my point. Thank you for taking the time to watch and always your feedback is appreciated!
@spaceminers

@@23eightfive I would say every other device that doesn’t have a charge boost function is ridiculous again you contradicted yourself by saying that all these devices will boost charge when they’re not in use. First of all that is wrong it’s not boosting at all it’s charging normally. A boost charge is completely different much much much faster than regular charging. That’s why Bose installed it knowing that lots of professional musicians use these speakers and wanted to give them a way to quick charge them before gigs. If you can’t understand that and think that it’s ridiculous then your scope of vision is too narrow and you can’t comprehend other industries needs for features that you can’t conceive proper use of.that’s my point. That was one thing I didn't test before I got rid of my S1 Pro. But I've always had issues with my S1 Pro even connecting to the app.

While the clicking is very loud I wouldn’t say that’s a reason to not buy this unit simply because you don’t HAVE to turn the logo.

Hard to compare audio through your speakers on your phone/computer. But I can say the quality of the S1 Pro+ is as good or better than the S1 Pro.

I know you can do this with cables but as others have posted it currently isn’t supported in the Bose app.
