That circuit was probably both the auxiliary amplifier and the circuit that looks after the cells. Seen as the battery and auxiliary is connected to it i would think that its for charging and looking after the inputs.

Battery wasn't charging? Was it flashing red light? If so your battery is prob fine you just need to reset it by holding down function button for a long 20 secs or so until it lights up, There are many videos in here explaining that. Your battery is prob fine, ur unit is fine, don't take it apart lol

Why doing a teardown If you can’t tell the difference between amplifier circuitry, charging circuitry or a Bluetooth module.

These Soundlink 2 speakers with the famous "blinking red button" and the 100ds of advices how to fix them on the web - ARE NOT WORKING! These speakers are becoming obsolete and many sell them for parts on auctions. So instead of using it as a doorstop I have endlessly searched for ANY WAY to run the bugger WITHOUT BATTERY with no success. I want to connect it to my PC with a USB for power source and plug it in to the 3.5mm audio jack in the back. Is this impossible or is there a way? Having picked apart the all the circuits boards I wonder where to take the audio output signal direct on the small bords with th many mini tiny micro connectors? Would the 5V current from the USB not be enough to drive the unit?

Cpt. Morris Productions The battery is connected with a cable, which is soldered to a circuit board...I guess you would have to take apart the whole box, to properly disconnect the cable from the board. How did you disconnect the battery? Because you can’t just take it out...

Cpt. Morris Productions can’t do without my soundlink mini tho😅 luckily I didn’t even have to swap batteries. It was a software problem. But yeah, KZitem solves everything nowadays
