(19 Nov 1994) Street-fighting erupted on Friday (18/11) between Bosnian
government troops and renegade Muslims attacking the town of
Velika Kladusa, in the Bihac enclave in northwestern Bosnia.
Muslims loyal to renegade leader, Fikret Abdic, captured an
important hill in the town centre as government troops struggled
to hold their ground. Abdic forces occupying the hill, which
commands the town, were battling the government 5th Corps which
was based around a mosque at the foot of the hill. Rebel Muslim
soldiers said they expected heavy fighting to continue throughout
the night.
