Porsche snobs? Where does THAT come from? A snob perhaps. That is a 997.2 Carrera S Cab. Down on HP to the Boss at 385 vs. 444 and yet it performed just fine. I own a 12 997 GTS and a 12 Boss. Both great cars. I guess I am just a "snob" to you vs. a fellow car enthusiast...Whatever.

Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Love how the Boss ate up everyone else. That white Porsche convertible was being stubborn blocking you. He probably could not beleive how much better of a track car your is at 1/3-1/4 the price of his! Nice running. I'm taking my 2011 GT to the track end of March, to run with Porsches, too! Pete

For everyone saying the video is boring and it looks like they are putzing around the track, thats because the FOV of the camera is much different than what we see normally (obviously) and so it compresses everything into the tiny viewing window of youtube and thus everything seems slower than what it really is. If you go fullscreen HD it will definitely help, but the experience in the car is worlds different than what we're seeing here. Nice driving man.

Some say he doesn't care what he drives, just as long as it has a cup holder for his martini. Some also say that his gentleman's area is completely covered in rhinestones that he's had professionally glued there. All we know is HE'S CALLED THE STIG!! That would have been epic if it showed the Boss coming to a stop and the Boss of driving stepping out.

Your car sounds pretty healthy. I love the Boss 302, when it came out I wanted one badly unfortunatly it was too much money for me at the time so I end up with a 2011 Mustang GT that is pretty much a Boss 302 in spirit due to the upgrades I have done to the car. I however would rather have a Boss 302 with the school bus yellow being my favorite color. I have seen some at around 30k. Hopefully i am able to afford one soon.

Great Video.... I love when mustangs put it on cars. For years Ford mustangs have taken some beatings..that was until the 03 - 04 cobra came out then people started paying attention...2007 GT500 makes the scene and more jaws drop...now fast forward to 2013 and you have 302 Boss mustangs, 2013 Shelby GT500... all the haters can hate but it doesn't change the fact....Mustangs rule... ....once again...GREAT VIDEO..!!

These were either Hawk DTC60s or 70s in the front when this video was shot, now I use Performance Friction PF01 front and PF97 rear; these pads like it hot. Stock pads sit in a box while the car is on track.

The Boss heads are actually CNC ported; much more accurate And precise than what a hand porter can do. The combustion chamber was smoothed out, the locating tab in the combustion chamber was CNC'd off, the head intake & exhaust were much better smoothed out, and the entire head uses a different aliuminum allow with a little more copper (by weight) added for better heat removal.
@DWVids00

Yes, absolutely. If you don't rev match at those speeds, the rear tires will lock up and severely upset the car. You have to heel-toe downshift while braking to make sure the revs match up.

@Camaricopa Late apexing the tower sounds like a good idea, but it's all marbles farther out. Plus, there is a slight dip in the pavement on the inside of the white line, you can actually get a little "banking" out of it. Going wide you give up the option to make an inside pass. The guys who I have seen that are really fast are even tighter through there than I am.
