The Catalyst Network is a 4-year, cross-sectoral approach that offers individuals and organisations the opportunity to strive toward sustainable transformation. This is made possible through the availablity of a network of experts and educational resources for skills development - at no cost.
Through the Catalyst Network, participants can connect with others across the globe. The educational component includes over 70 courses offered by the different organisations that form the consortium.
The speakers expressed their interest in making this Network available to as many countries as possible, including South Africa!
About Rhonda Bowen
Rhonda is a Global Strategic Communication Guide at Bells. Combine insight, flexibility, and tolerance, and you have Rhonda Bowen. In her role as a communication guide, Rhonda takes on challenging responsibilities, such as resolving miscommunication issues in global matrix organizations and cooperating with her clients to find the right words so they can be more efficient, effective; and successful.
Her life experience as an American who has lived in Germany since 1983 allows her to find various perspectives for any situation and support those who need to not only think out of the box, but also face challenges in their professional and personal lives. Her programs and services include online and offline facilitation, individual and team coaching, programs for professional services providers and negotiation seminars. She supports others through her interactive sessions called Success Swarms, building on the idea of swarm intelligence in nature. These are based on the principle of wispiration in action, a combination of wisdom and inspiration shared in the group to provide options for finding practical ways to apply what has been learned.
Her approach to communication across cultures is largely inspired by her clients from more than 70 countries. Her experiences with them on their journeys have shaped her life, her business, and her vision for the world. In addition to more than 30 years in her own business, Rhonda is also active in many global organizations to improve people’s lives, including World Speech Day and Soroptimist International. She also serves as a lay speaker for her church, not only in her own congregation, but many neighboring ones as well. She loves to travel and play the piano.
About Angelina Taneva-Veshoska
Prof. Dr. Angelina Taneva-Veshoska is the Director of the Institute for Research in Environment, Civil Engineering and Energy.
Expertise in education: more than 20 years of experience as a professor, national VET expert, trainer of trainers, developing curricula (in HE, VET and adult education), managing and coordinating educational projects, conducting surveys on labour market needs, developing innovative teaching methods.
Expertise in business consultancy: working with industry, creating and implementing methodologies, measures and tools for supporting sustainable business growth, better management of knowledge and intellectual capital, establishing R&D Centres and Training Centres. This effort was rewarded when she and her team received the 1st prize for their case "The Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital Excellence Award".
Expertise in projects: worked on more than 25 educational and research projects funded by Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ programs, collaborating with academic and business partners from Europe. Great experience in all the phases in project management, from project idea, creating a proposal, to managing a project and implementation and evaluation of activities.
Research interests: Sustainability, Organizational Behavior, HR Management, Positive Psychology, Entrepreneurship, Personal Development.
Teaching interests include organizational behavior, sustainability, leadership, CSR, business communication, business ethics, and HR management.
About Ana Tomikj
Ana Tomikj is a Researcher at IECE and her research interest is in: CSR, sustainability, intellectual capital, and circular economy.
She has 8 years of international work experience in education, skills and consulting, working ioon Erasmus+, Horizon 2020 and IPA II-funded projects, tackling issues like sustainability, eco-skills, innovation, and business-academia collaboration
