6:40 brilliant defensive sequence by hordford. i remember doris going on about how the pacers were attacking him with a guard all night. i think he heard her. al keeps himself in a good help position and keeps his eyes in a neutral area so his guy doesn't get away. nembhard was quite a ways from siakam. when he passed to nembhard, horford cut the distance in half BEFORE the ball even got to him. then he was able to break with nembhard, and within 1 dribble, he completely closed the distance to get on-body with nembhard. WITHIN ONE DRIBBLE. if you're keeping track, a 62 year old man had the athleticism to run a triangle and close on one of the most athletic guards in the playoffs. doing so not only affected the quality of nembhard's shot, but put horford, with his length, in position to absolutely stonewall that shot. i don't call him a genius. he's just experienced and disciplined and a team player. this was one of my favorite moments of the playoffs and is one of many reasons i'm so proud of big al.

We had some great defensive moments in the half court. I think the main thing for the Celtics to do is to try as best they can to alleviate Indiana’s ability to push the ball and create cross matches and rotations off of a miss or turnover. Many times they were able to score as a result of pressure early in possessions. Maybe the zone we went to later in the game will help

The adjustments will have to be to key in on Carlisle’s rotations and rotate good mismatches for game 2. Remember the Pacers have come off a gruelling 7 game series and their tanks should be running a little low for game 2. Or at the least capitalise on sluggish plays much like this highlight reel shows. Just be relentless and limit your own turnovers. If Halliburton doesn’t make those three ridiculous 3’s and Celtics had 3 less turnovers this game is nowhere near as close. It’s those details that I think will give the Celtics a convincing win for game 2.

Vid title: "defensive highlights" 40 seconds in the middle: Brown 3, and replay of Brown 3. I'm 100% ok with this, and all your videos should all include the Brown 3 somewhere for the remainder of the series.

Pacers played their A game and still lost plus 2 buzzer beaters and multiple tough mid-range shots. I mean they can't do that every game - Nembhard shooting mid-range against Horford? lol again cannot do that every game. Everything went in for them and they still lost. Can they play better than this? I don't think so.

I'm a Celtic fan for life, but how is a JB three a defensive highlight? 🤨
@MrNolanator101

Because the play he made right before the three to give the Celtics back possession was a direct result of a defense
