The New England Aquarium is very family friendly--and lots of fun. Another family friendly thing to do in Boston is to go on a whale watch. The best whale watches are out of Gloucester, for several reasons: Gloucester is closest to Stellwagen Bank, a prime whale feeding ground AND the whale watch captains benefit from the fishing fleet captains who radio whale locations back. However, the New England Aquarium runs a very good whale watch--worth the time and money. The Museum of African American History is housed in a school and a meeting house. You have to buy tickets in advance, due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Science Museum is always a hit with the 12 and under set. Many families like visiting ethnic neighborhoods. There's a lot of kid friendly things to visit in the North End--as well as really good Italian food (Remember Wednesday is Prince Spaghetti Day commercials?), the Old North Church and Paul Revere's House. How can you go wrong with that (and have a great gel Chinatown is a treat, too. For families with school aged children, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is wonderful. Check the calendar, for they regularly have family friendly activities. I would also recommend the Harvard Museums, especially the Museum of Natural History and the Peabody Museum. (These museums are not suitable for younger children under the age of 6.).

Great video! We were just up here (with kids, too!) We’ve done a bunch of what’s on this list, but there are a few the kids haven’t seen yet. I always forget about the Boston tea party museum!

I’m surprised you didn’t include the USS Constitution which is free to see and fun for kids.
