Not a bulb mate, it’s a valve (probably out of a radio or television) 👍

Really enjoyed this one! Found my first bottle today but think it’s extremely modern. Going to try your video out on landfill maps thank you!

That bulb looks like a valve from an old radio or TV set.

On those old bottles that are plain... You could take them home and print old labels for them. I bet they would sell like hot cakes. Just a thought.

You need to get yourself a single claw cultivator to scrape the dirt around the side and bottom of the bottles easily. You can even use a deer antler! Don’t keep using that bulky 3 clawed cultivator for that job of getting a bottle out unless you what to scratch them or risk scratching them. Great video and I love the Gordon’s Dry Gin bottles !

I live around London and have used the historic landfill maps. You should try go for the 1930s tips because most of the time they have earlier items below and slightly older bits above. Danny

Hi Gav, just subscribed to your channel, your vids just came up in my recommendations, while watching some other bottle digging videos, looks like you've found some good tips in your area, I've done few odd digs years ago, but in my area, alot of the old sites have either been built on or developed or otherwise now alot more inaccessible than they were years ago. Which historic landfills website do you use?
