La Grande Fache, Gran Facha or Cúspide de Bachimaña in Spanish, is a 3,005 meter high peak in the Pyrenees located on the Franco-Spanish border.
La Grande Fache is one of the Pyrenean peaks over 3,000 meters in the Balaïtous-Pics-d'Enfer area.
It rises in the center of the Marcadau, Piedrafita and Bachimaña cirques, and is surrounded by numerous lakes or ibones.
It is located on the Franco-Spanish border between border crosses no. 312 and no. 313.
With its altitude of more than 3,000 meters and its pyramidal shape, it is a very popular summit. A small virgin of Lourdes crowns the summit.
The Peaks of Hell, Picos del Infierno in Spanish, are a summit constituting at 3,081 meters above sea level the highest point of the Picos-d'Enfer massif, in the Aragonese Pyrenees, in Spain.
The Pics d'Enfers form a ridge approximately 300 m long from which three referenced summits emerge
A secondary summit, called Garmo Blanco (2,982 m), is located in the extension of the west ridge, north of the western Hell Peak.
Like the entire massif, the peaks are an integral part of the Ordesa-Vignemale biosphere reserve, upstream of the Tena valley, 3.5 km southwest of the border ridge.
Starting from Banos de Panticosa we imagined this loop passing through the Bachimana refuge and its lakes. We will then head towards the south ridge of the Grande Fache Bivouac there with a breathtaking spectacle.
Day2:
departure towards the Col de la Grande Fache with a switch to the Spanish side towards the Respomuso refuge for a little refreshment before heading towards the Col de Tebarray then Les Enfers where we will bivouac a second time.
Day3:
departure for the lower eastern peak then the sequence of Garmo Negro and company
