*You are still here* ! Don't talk as if you are dead, or on another planet. Remember all those times parents had to be patient? That's what we have to be now. While we are being patient, we need to look at what we can do as we put one foot in front of the other. We *will* get to where our goals are. *This pandemic is temporary* . It is not going to last. You don't want to look back and think those same thoughts again, about what you *could have* done. As long as you are moving forward, and not backwards. It's okay. We're all trying to get through this pandemic, but we should encourage each other along the way. That helps to keep hope alive. *You are going to be just fine* . You have to believe that though. The mind is a powerful thing. If you think negative, you're going to feel negative, and most likely, *you might* do negative. Try to think positive, even when you don't feel like it. Watch how your body will like it. *My opinion* . Sorry about the length of this. Blessings.

It's not over... The human body is amazing. Skating you already know keeps you fit and fucking happy as hell. When we get older people have "old age" bullshit issues due to not being ACTIVE. IF you stay active you can stay fit as hell for a very long time, 60,70, 80 years old even. you will move, be coordinated and strong, you wont' look like a teen or a 20 years old, but you will look fit and in shape and be strong. @valvacious2793

Yes, everyone needs to have employment! BUT before you can secure that job you have to go in with the Right Spirit. You have to be OPEN and RECEPTIVE to learn. I have see many of the younger youth walk around with a snarl on their faces with a mean attitude instead of having a smile and an attitude of gratitude. You got to wake up thanking God that you are alive. Some of our youth, have a Narcissistic, Aggressive Spirit. Remember, You are what you consume through your ears, eyes, and mouth. You become what you consume the most. If your dominate focus is on listening to Gangster rap music and violent video games...your spirit will reflect that. Go have some clean fun like skating. Skating and dancing can bring you joy and laughter. Replace the negativity emotions with positive emotions and you will feel better and then go look for that job! You will feel more energized and less defeated. You will have a smile on your face and have a pleasant spirit to meet the HR guy.

Growing up in Chicago in the 70s we took this skating sh*t serious and had alot of fun. Can we PLEASE bring roller rink skating back for real in 2022? Great skaters/dancers/athletes - cool outfits - music - syncronicity - vibes! 💥

I come back to this Treasure Often.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 It brings back The really good times, despite of the times. LOVED roller skating. As an adult, I kept my skates in the trunk of my car so I could go skating (at Audubon Park in New Orleans) whenever I wanted. But, ice skating was really my favorite of the two. It's smoother. Turns and spins are a lot easier, too.🛼⛸️

United Skates of America was one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. As an ignorant white girl in the suburbs I never knew how important roller rinks were to the Black community. I was so very sad to see how thousands of rinks have been systematically shut down all over the country to serve the interests of our common enemy: the corportocracy. We need a movement to bring roller rinks back!

I remember getting up early on Saturday then doing my chores and making sure my favorite outfit was clean (and pressed of course) and then staying out of the firing line of my parents until 5-6:00pm when it was time to get ready. Depp haïr gel for my little spiked hair I used to rock - check. Brut cologne - check. Listerine in case I met that cheerleader I liked - check. Bubblicious - oh hell yeah. Boy these were good times. I wish the Philadelphia-South Jersey area still had rinks because they were such an integral part of who we were.
