Glad to hear you're gonna pressure can some of those suckers. They're good like that. Like salmon patties. Looks like fun. Red tails are gonna run here very soon. I'll be out there with my lil genesis, and my AMS. After watching this, Ii may try it with the old recurve and practice arrows. For those who haven't did this, it's a ton of fun. Great job! I hope you guys realize that the suckers are some of the best tasting fish in the river. U have to cook them so the bones crystalize. Better eating than the blues.

Cut up carp makes REALLY good catfish bait. We always keep a few in the freezer for running jugs or tight-lining.

what draw weight were the bows you were useing? it looked perfect, high enough to get through the water easily, but low enough that the arrow didn't completely pass through the fish

Aren't you guys worried about the water on the bows? also if the lower limb hits the water when you shoot, it will usually throw the shot off, and it could hurt the bow.

Ahh okay i was looking at kinseys last week and saw a nice recurve pretty cheap too but didnt know too much about it....... Also do you think Red tails would work nice if you chopped them up and used them for muskie or catfish?

You guys never have a problem using just the practice tips? I would think farther shots might be an issue. I've never thought of using practice tips, might have to reconsider my tactics. i know its going on four years but, that spot seems to always produce. Even recently.

You guys should invest in a UV filter lens for that camera (actually one of the same cameras I use!) It'll cut out all of the reflection on the water!

I'm curious as to after you've banked them (assuming this is leaving the fish on the bank to collect later?) does no-one pick them up or do you leave a mark? Or is it just sportsmanship to leave them alone?

For bowfishing alittle bit of everything. Most are shooting of the shelf. And most arrows have feathers. At such a close range flecthings arent much of an issue.
