But after all these 40 odd years, I never noticed he lisps. I noticed it in a video he did recently and thought it was because he got his teeth fixed, but no. He's always lisped. That alone bothers me, cos it's so easy to correct. I wonder why he never did?

Off the charts brave. Bowie never had the massive profile this guy had and was mostly an alternative star. George took this image and his music right into the mainstream.

Jessica Davis yeah I started stealing my mom's car when I was 11 and was cruising around town with friend's all the time. Then when we turned 14 we where old enough to start picking up chicks and it was on. You can't even ask a 11 year old to toast bread now a days.

I just saw them last night. I was a young adult in the 80s and knew their music, but really didn't know him. He is a wise, warm, intelligent, compassionate, witty, accepting, and vulnerable person. He and his entourage embody diversity and acceptance without having to scream it or shove it at people. A beautiful human being. Hopefully going to do a Vegas residency.

YET, Culture Club made better music than The Police. Name the top 6 songs by each to prove it to yourself. "Every breath you take" was bland, creepy pap, for example.

i agree! ive been watching other interviews with him and the ones with joan are the only ones ive truly seen him genuinely laugh and let her in. all the other interviewers are judgmental and give backhanded compliments. i always admired the way he handled it though!

A talented , intelligent, well spoken man , Basically self educated , yet still underrated , Outclassed anybody who dared to engage him in a clash to match wits , A natural center stage act , at quite a young age , The amount of radio play he got in the early to mid eighties was one of the main reasons he and his band made it .They paraded in and weren't afraid and they stayed , all you can say is ,, Well played ..

Remember how in the 80s we waited forever in front of the TV to press record for our favorites to come on and of course it never was the first guest? Like on Carson before someone big they'd first always have on an 8 year old who had an IQ of 180 or some 80 year old granny who holds the world record for arm wrestling. 😤
