Nicely shaped little knife; first time I have heard of a bifurcated tang. Nice patina on the blade, too. Thanks KD!

Looks like knives I grew up seeing dad use. I would like to these these types of designs made again in the USA.

I agree with you Hal. The US cutlery production has really been devastated in the last 30 years. I will be releasing a video soon on the history of Marbles knives. I think you will enjoy Marbles contributions to hunting knives.

I have this exact knife. It was a birthday present when I was in 5th grade--circa 1962. I don't suppose you'd know where to get an original sheath. Lost mine too.

That's fantastic! Unfortunately, the only place I would know to look would be EBay. Maybe one would show up there by chance. I appreciate you dropping by, SVP!

What do you think one these may be worth nowadays? I have my father's from the 60's.
@knifedelights7473

That's a tough one, but to start, since was your dad's, I'd say priceless. But if I were to make a wild stab in the dark, I would say $60 to $90. However, it would depend on the condition of the knife and sheath. I haven't kept up on the prices of these particular knives. You may want to check out auctions sites to get a better idea. Thanks for watching, Will.

Do you have any fixed blade BSA sheaths for sale, or know where I can find one?
@knifedelights7473

I sure don't, Steve. You will probably just keep searching the secondary market, such as antique stores, EBay, yard sales, etc. Sorry I couldn't help you out. Thanks for watching, my friend.

You have a knife from the Western Black Beauty series with "alternating polished aluminum and non-stick fibre for sure grip performance." Western made the Black Beauty's in 5 sizes plus a matching hand axe. They were made from 1960 into the early 1970's. The models were F39, F66, F48A, F48B, F28 in descending sizes.
