Buggs Island is what we call it. Been camping there since the 60s. Huge lake and rarely crowded with boats like many lakes. That's the best campground in virginia. If you have a national park pass its half price to camp. I'll be there in july.

A great campgound ! I camped there as a youngster. If you can, check out Kimball Point campground on the North Carolina side. It is even nicer with more beaches and lake-front sites. If I remember correctly, Kerr Lake has over 800 miles of shoreline ! You made me want to go there again soon. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much! We're trying to figure out how to work more drone footage in... It's a really neat perspective but a lot of places don't allow drone use and we want to be respectful of those around us too! Theres nothing like the buzz of a drone to ruin a peaceful setting...

Catfish, etc are biting at Kerr Lake. FYI on the Virginia side it is called Buggs Island(because of the mosquitoes, etc). If you are a Nascar fan and know who Elliott Sadler is, he is from the next town over, South Hill, VA and his brother Hermie has a café and such there. Also, South Hill has Walmart and lots of shops. Clarksville is a nice little town that is on the other side of Boydton. Antique shops, historical homes and such there oh and a Dollar General Supermarket. Prestwould Plantation is also on the way to Clarksville, turn at Uppy's instead of crossing the bridge. Beautiful old historic plantation and I think they do tours also. My parents have a lake home on the lake in Boydton. :-) and we have been visitors at Kerr Lake/Buggs Island my whole life.

Such a great video! That COE campground is beautiful! It looked so serene and I loved the dappled light. Your pups are so cute! I love when you have them sitting on something, they look as if they are posed! They certainly caught the scent of something up that tree! I think your more comfortable, it seems. I can’t imagine how weird it is to just talk into your phone or camera. You seem very natural and relaxed. Your videography and editing shows your continued improvement- please don’t hear that you were not good from the beginning, no I can see the growth that comes from doing these videos! I hope that makes sense!! Until next time...
