If you think about it in most Zelda games the big bad (usually Ganon) just sits around waiting for Link to show up & confront him. Link could procrastinate for months or YEARS and nothing would change in the world. Majora Mask's Skull Kid is the only one with any agency. He commands the moon to crash into Termina and if you sit around doing nothing for 3 days EVERYONE DIES.

2 ай бұрын
To be fair to the trivia, Zelda still came out before Metroid did in the US as well even though it was very close as you said. I'd agree it at least warrants a mention! There were plenty of other more concrete problems with the trivia too. Punch-Out!! is a much older franchise than Battletoads and Super Punch-Out!! was the second arcade game title long before Battletoads on the NES or Super Punch-Out!! on the SNES existed. Raptor is not a character in Killer Instinct and is an obvious misspelling of Riptor. Most egregiously, there is no "first task you have to complete" in The Legend of Zelda. It is famously the granddaddy of all open-world games. The only mandatory task given on the opening screen crawl is to retrieve the Triforce of Wisdom pieces to save Zelda. Otherwise, you can do things in practically any order. Hell you can even skip the first sword cave altogether, collect all the Triforce pieces, and get all the way to Ganon himself without having any sword at all. Pretty bad curating!
@Tiriris

Me at the first question: Do you mean 'Which is the oldest' or 'which is the one you'd most closely associate with the term 'retro''? Because those two have two different answers." Second question was a lot easier, the only one of those games that was on the NES was Battletoads. Third, I did consider Tetris for a moment, but Dig Dug, while it hasn't been as popular/successful, is a really old game. A pretty fun one too. I was a little tripped up by the Killer Instinct question, because I do remember there being a character who was ice based in Killer Instinct, but I also didn't remember him being called Frostbite. And I was right his name is 'Glacius' (I looked it up after the question). So I knew Cinder was the one who wasn't in it. And yeah, the LOZ question seems like a bit of a trick, because the first task you do is find a wise man and retrieve a sword from him. So I guessed C would be the right answer. And you say you don't set out to find him... but you're also just dumped in the world and not told anything. So the first thing you will do, before you find the sword, is you find the old man, and he will give you the sword. They did misquote it. "Take this. It's dangerous to go alone."
