BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's
Locations Around the Peak Forest Area on 9th July 1991
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Locations around the Peak Forest area taken on 09/07/1991. Firstly Great Rocks Junction and the entrance into Tunstead Quarry is visited early in the morning, with quite a few movements. Then we move about a mile north to Peak Forest Sidings where a busy spell of Limestone trains depart and pass by. A short visit into Buxton next followed by a look at Chinley East Jn. A bit quiet at the time of day that we were there. We then headed back to Peak Forest by the entrance to the large Dove Holes Quarry and finally on our return south we popped into Earles Sidings in Hope where we were granted permission to see loco Blue John in action. Some of the material in this video may have already been released in an earlier version made some while back. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
