After working the neck skin roll technique, try some gentle vibration of the big neck muscle. Start at the base of the neck and work your way to the poll. Find the vibration pattern that works for your horse. Some horses only tolerate slow and soft while others can work their way up to faster and larger movements. You are not necessarily looking to "fix" anything, instead this helps disengage the lower neck muscles and gives them a break from always being "on" (think of when your properly sculpted pillow takes the pressure off your neck muscles). It is a good way to help bring in circulation and loosen the muscle. This can be preformed before and after a workout as well.
