Brad Paisley's guitar playing reminds me of guys from the 60s like Phil Baugh and Hank Garland who were into jazz and other genres and would bring that influence into their playing. I love it.

A true measure of how top notch the players are is when the drummer finishes his solo, he doesn't count them back in or even give an slightly slower hand toward that cymbal. He hit's it as if he were playing by himself. It's a great exercise for musicians to keep up their concentration to react at the same time. 3:39

I don't really think he's underrated. People on the inside, musicians, producers, artists, etc know he's a beast. I think Keith Urban gets more attention as a player, but in all reality, as awesome as Keith is, his playing is nowhere remotely near the level of Brad. Brad is by leaps and bounds the best guitarist in country music today and, imo, one of the top 5 guitarists of this generation, along with Derek Trucks.
