I definitely believe the more fabric variation you have in a Dresden plate, the better it looks. It's already round yet pointy, so more fabric isn't going to make it look too "busy." It adds to the charm of a Dresden in general. The second variation really highlights that idea.

I loved the Dresden plate that was divided into three horizontal part and the middle part was a low volume when it was put together it is reminded me of a wagon wheel, but really, I love all of them . The third variation was the best. Very hard to choose. It's like being a judge on a show and you have to pick a winner when all the contestants are spectacular. I love your fabric by the way.

I am a fairly new quilter. I have only been quilting for a year. I love the Dresden plate but I thought it would be too difficult for me to do and just didn't have the confidence to try but watching your show makes me feel that it is doable . Thank you for giving me confidence in myself to try. I love the twisted look! Your a great teacher and I love your show.

How fun! I just pulled fabric to make a modern looking Dresden plate quilt...and now have even more variations to play with. I love the setting you are showing for your quilt...and am anxious for the next video to see more! Thank you for all you do...I learn every time I watch you...even after 50+ years of sewing and quilting. Now...if my big machine would get finished at the spa...sigh.

My favorite is the one where the plate is split into 4 sections, and the sections placed in the corners. Creates all that wonderful negative space for quilting! Thanks for the great video!❤

I like the variation that had the three strips of fabric joined to make three colors stacked and then inverted in the adjacent blade. My grands aged 3 to 7 sat mesmerized watching your video. Too fun. Then they went to my work table and set to designing using fabric squares I had sitting there. Looks like the bug has bitten them already!

I made a Dresden quilt for my parents and used all my scraps from all the other quilts I made for my other family members. My parents love it. I like your Dresden with the light circle in it. But they are all pretty.

I started making Dresden’s after my grandson was named Dresden after his German grandma. She passed and my daughter wanted to name her son after something about her and her heritage. So she researched Germany and came up with the city Dresden and said it was so beautiful she had to name him Dresden. That grandson of mine is so proud to own some Dresden plate quilts from this Gramy and he will love your variations.

I LOVE THE LAST VERIATION AS IT GIVES THE DRESDEN SO MUCH MOVEMENT WITH THE DIFFERENT SHAPE AND DECORATIVE STITCH MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE FINISHED PRODUCT. WONDERFUL FABRIC COLLECTION SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, AS PLAYFUL AND THE COLORS ARE SOFT ENOUGH TO NOT TAKE AWAY FROM BOTH THE FABRIC AND THE DRESDEN. THANKS FOR THE DEMONSTRATION.

I liked the 3rd plate design best because I loved how the thinner strip of fabric at an angle gave a spinning effect! Love your show! The return of your videos was a bright spot for me this year.👏👏👏👏

I love the Dresden Plate blocks. I think my favorite is the one with the three colors where the white background fabric makes a circle in the middle, it sort of gives it a wagon wheel look. Can't wait to see the setting, it looks great!

Oh Angela! I laughed out loud at the "Tell me I'm not the only quilter who talks to themselves. Sometimes I just want to talk to somebody smart!" As a singleton, I talk to myself all the time... not so sure about the second part, though ;-) Thanks for a great video. I like these new "chapters" sections format, which would come in handy with a longer class video.

It's so hard to pick!! I really love them all, but if I had to choose I would pick the twisty variation. I love this quilt, so I guess I have to put it on my mile long "quilts to make" list. Love you, Angela!

I really liked the circle effect by using the three- colored strips. I also liked the stripes. Dresdens are a favorite of mine, and a quick go-to block. Love the Midnight show. Thanks.

I like the wheel or ring in the middle. I’m a beginner quilter and making my first quilt by hand. I actually picked a Dresden design for it. I may have bit off more than I can chew, but I’m having fun! I’m learning so much watching your videos. Thank you 😊

Love the third block ("spinning" blades) because it is so different. I really enjoy making quilts that are "different" and a new twist on an old pattern. Love this quilt. Already on my To Do List!! And I just ADORE the new fabric line. Will probably have to break my rule of not buying more fabric until I use some of what is in my stash (unless of course I win a stack! :) ).

I haven’t made a Dresden plate, yet. My favorite of your blocks is the one on the mat in front of you at the end of this video. The one with an inner solid ring. I think a design with many of those would make a fascinating quilt. I also love your fabric collection. Thank you for the video.

I Love the second variation. Your eye is attracted to the inner circle, but looking at it you can see other patterns such as a big circus wheel... Beautiful!!!

I loved all of the Dresden ideas. The angle cut was a very interesting way of doing one. But the long cut striped one super fun idea. Girl you rock ! Wish I was as good a quilter as you! Love watching you on KZitem!

I love the 3 variation using the 3 fabric strips. The first quilt I did was a Dresden plate, that I did with my Granny. That was how she taught me how to sew. I hand applicaded the plates to the blocks and left the center open.

I like the block with the quarter Dresden Plates in the corners, but my favourite is the more complex alternating Dresden Plate design that looks like a ship’s wheel😊👍🏻
