This classic Chinese braised pork with preserved vegetable,is a very popular Chinese dish.
To prepare (Mui Choy) sweet preserved vegetable for cooking,wash it throughly to get rid of the sand an dirt, then soak in the water 4-6 hours.This will make extra tender and juicy.
For cooking pork Blanch and boil 30 minutes first
Ingredients:
1Lb Pork belly with the skin
3-4 slices (chopped)ginger
3 gloves garlic
2shallots
1 pack mui choy (Sweet preserves vegetable)
1 pc (small) rock sugar
Water
For the sauce:
1Tbsp dark soy sauce
1Tbsp light soy sauce
1Tbsp oyster sauce
Water
Cooking time 45 minutes
