Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower kzitem.infoUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

very helpful explanation thank you! I'm converting my craftsman into a go kart, and I needed to be able to disengage the clutch at half press so I could shift, and engage the brakes at full press, and this is what I needed to figure that out!

attacxh a vacuum pump to the fill hole, clean the area with brake cleaner, then under vacuum , apply the right rtv. the same method works to fix a oil leak at the back of a SBC intake manifold...

My 12HP Craftsman started doing that grab as soon as you push clutch/brake pedal in. Was not the brake. It was the drive upper belt had gotten oil on it from the oil leaking from the pushrod covers that have o-rings on them. So basically, the upper belt was very close to slipping at the least grade. PS Those plastic pushrod covers tend as old plastic does is get a little smaller OD. So a new o-ring gives up pretty fast. I was just sorta after the third time replacing the o-ring was just lifting the front of the mower when it set. Old cheap craftsmen just won't die if halfway taken care of. Mine is a good 25 years old.

How to make the pads last longer. A hose clamp is the right width. Just needs to be cut to length. You can use them as shims to push the pads closer to the Brake Rotor. Just sand the pads smooth where the rotor cut its grove. Place your shims behind the pads. Lot cheaper than $16+ for 2 new pads

If you look at the larger center nut between the mounting screws, it can be turned a quarter turn to the right to adjust the pads if they are not to far gone.

I think you can also get some delayed braking, (after a longer clutch action) by backing off the nut on the tension adjustment for the pads. Seems that with both ways, you need to push the pedal father to actually stop. DL

Help. My Craftsman riding mower will not freewheel. I cannot push it. I pull out the transmission/trans-axle lever on the back of the mower to disengage it, but I still cannot push it. The wheels will only turn in opposite directions. What is wrong? Thank you.
