My first time discovering your channel and I’m 74 years old, retired and divorced and it seems you have found something special in the Philippines and especially a sweet partner with Mae. I’ve been looking into the Philippines for a year or so and I love the outdoors and fishing, and I would love to find a beautiful Filipina , younger and with that cultural charm Filipina women seem to have. I’m subscribed to the channel and hope to learn more. Thanks 🙏

You probably never saw yourself as a Philippino Realtor, Old Dog. But somehow with you and Baby May doing the presentation it had a ring of authenticity to it, rather than the usual greasy sales pitch. You have an appeal across the demographic, but especially to older ex-pats. I could see you making a fortune at this game over there. Best wishes to you both.

Paul and Baby Mae: That is a excellent area and house to me I would call mansion style in the Philippines. Especially for large family or extended relatives as they are accustomed to in the Philippines. I am so glad the owner cares about the security officer and his family working there. It really makes the security officer more enthusiastic and feel part of the community too, wonderful idea. Thanks for showing us this great deal. From US American Air Force Security Police Military veteran who was station at Clark Air Base, Philippines.

Beautiful place and fantastic setup! 👌 Here in the USA if a person tried to have a little house for the gate guard I'm betting it would take a years of red tape fees special license and special permits and by the time it was set up some a$$hole bureaucrat would come along and find something else that would bring even more fees and fines. In the Philippines you just build and and maybe have an inspection once and done. I'm counting the days. 😀

@@ccjohncc1 So true, that is why living and retiring in the Philippines is a well kept secret. I remember seeing one site talking about their house was built for 1 million Pesos or $20,000 US dollars. In the states that same type of house would have cost at a minimum six (6) times the amount too. Philippines, still have great deals even today. Excellent information, thanks.

Trust me iv been to Thailand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Guam, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, ireland, scotland, England, Canada, Bahamas, Honduras, Belize,mexico, Cayman Islands, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Portugal, blah blah blah iv been to probably 50 countries. The Philippines by far is the SECRET gem. My work just told me I can either go to Iceland or back to the Philippines here soon. hmmmmmmmmm. The big questions is RETIREMENT SPOT????? 2 years away

Thanks for the video, Paul. Super nice and a great deal. I'm used to spending 40-50K on a one-bedroom condo. I do this because I want a pool to do laps, covered parking, and security. A place like this gives you all of that only bigger, more privacy, and less money. The only problem for me is that I typically spend half of my time at home in San Diego, so a furnished place works best so I can easily come and go. Perfect for a full-timer though.

I currently live in Phuket, Thailand. I have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath fully furnished home, covered garage, very nice garden in a gated community. Community pool and facilities are a extra fee. I pay 25,000 baht ($730). This home shown here has a much nicer kitchen and bathrooms, and the pool and gym ate included. At $600 is seems a good deal. How much would it cost to furnish a place like this? Thanks for the info, I may be moving soon.

Western type furniture in the Philippines is more expensive than in the States. If you want that type of style, easily $20,000-25,000. I furnished a two-bedroom condo at BGC, 1/4 the size for $15,000.
@Axer128
9 ай бұрын
@@methemonkeyking You could literally hire a TOP SKILLED carpenter, literally someone with 10/10 skill, and buy the wood and supplies , hire have him build you BETTER western style furniture there for a whole home, for under $5000. The reason western furniture cost soo much? The shippings companies made there rates INSANE post corona, adn furniture is HEAVY!!! So your correct, but 90% of that $25,000 is literally shipping charges. Plus you can get asian style furniture of very high quality from nearby countries so lower shipping costs, EG: Japan/Korean, for also a fractuin of that price. Sure filipino mass produce furniture is CRAP, but you want quality there? Hire someone. They need jobs! Want it fast? hire 10 guys, you would be shocked at how little you have to pay for VERY SKILLED workers.
