I love that pixar chose Scotland for this and made the main character independent instead of making it about romantic love and made it about the importance of family. They really done a fantastic job with this movie. Proud Scot.

I swear people are so ignorant and have the attention span of a goldfish. They proclaim that Merida “is a spoiled brat who never learns from her mistakes.” When if these people actually had more than 3 functioning brain cells, they’d know that Merida clearly DOES learn from her mistakes! The lesson she learns is to treat your mother with more respect, which she CLEARLY DOES by the end of the movie! So stop bashing on Merida for “not learning her lesson” because that is a big fat lie, for she DOES learn her lesson.
