The Northeast of Brasil has the most beautiful Beaches and the most heartwarm people! From Salvador-Bahia !✌️
@TheAdrianaPolari
2 жыл бұрын
I agree. I was born in Joao Pessoa, but my parents went to SP when I was still a baby and now I've been living in the South region for 7 years already. I have been visiting the Northeast region as a tourist only when I can afford because it's far away and expensive, but I agree that it's the most beautiful region, the best beaches and the best people, so war, fun and nice. Here in the South if you go to SC beaches, which are not bad, not during the high summer, the weather is not so good and many places will be closed. And I don't like the people in Curitiba. They are too distant and cold, with a few exceptions. I hope I can go back to NE soon. Btw, I'm planning my next trip to Salvador. I've never been there. I want to spend some days in Salvador and then go to Chapada Diamantina, but I won't spend many days in Salvador. What do you suggest me to visit there? What are the best spots?

After leaving Recife I stopped in Porto de Galinhas for about 3 weeks......if you walk south along the beach away from the controlled areas of the coral reef there are unsupervised areas to 'explore'. And they are very dangerous. At low tide you can walk out to the edge of the coral reef to the strength of the deep ocean. At low tide the coral reef is about 1 foot above water level and is like a maze of pathways to get to the ocean edge and back to the beach. People, including me walked too far from the beach on the coral reef at the wrong time and the tide turned and the water level rose fast. The coral disappeared under the water and I had to jump across deep fissures and search back and forth to get around large openings in the coral. It was scary...the tide is fast and strong.
@JumpingPlaces
2 жыл бұрын
Interesting story! I wonder what happened to all the reef for it to be all dead? Can’t find much information about it. Seems like all 130 km of it is dead
@PaulPaullus
2 жыл бұрын
@@JumpingPlaces Mostly due to coastal deforestation permitting land silt from rainfall to be carried onto the reef, block sunlight and cover and 'suffocate' the coral. Human presence and activity. Indonesia has lost massive coral areas this way. Some coral areas look 'dead' but are in a natural state forming as the environment allows.
@MarcosSilveira

I lived a very similar situation like the one you told but in the Itaparica island in Bahia state, Brazil. I was only 13-14yo and was playing with brother and cousin at the end of the reef near the deep ocean margin when my uncle came yelling at us saying: "Look behind! The tide, you fools!!" Needless to say the sensation I felt when I saw the coral reef completely taken by the tide and that was almost a 500m long way back to the beach! It was scary! LOL

Can't believe so many people allowed to walk on coral reef
@JumpingPlaces
2 жыл бұрын
To be honest it is pretty bizarre that you can walk on coral reefs. Although apparently these reefs along this coast have been dead for many decades, way before tourism started in this area. We saw the same reef in other areas with the drone that tourists cannot visit and it was completely dead the same way. Not sure what killed it all in the past.
@youtubesurfer478

Indeed. I had the same reaction; odd that people are allowed to walk on the reef.
@MarcosSilveira
2 жыл бұрын
@@JumpingPlaces apparently the change in the height of the tide killed the corals. Corals need to be completely underwater to survive. If the water lowers exposing the corals to the air and the sun, they die. In a distant past, the levels of the water were higher. Their only hope is the increasing of the water levels with the polar caps melting. LOL
